Narrative writing involves first person accounts of life. There are many reasons why someone would write a narrative. Let's take a look at several narrative style "writings" below:

Lens: “Pictures of the Day- Gaza and Elsewhere”-http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/06/29/pictures-248/ Choose one picture- identify it and write a one paragraph or more in narrative style from the subject’s point of view- as if they are telling their own story. 10 ex credit points!

Podcasts: This I Believe: Listen to others as they narrate an event from their lives and what they have learned from it. Narratives and memoirs often include what we’ve learned or how we have grown through interaction with another person or through an experience we’ve had.
After viewing some videos and listening to some podcasts- choose one that spoke to you- identify it and share what you thought, felt, and make connections to your own life.
